Meetings & Decisions

Map

This branch is the decision trail for the fictional Alder Quay Bulletin launch. Leila Chen records editorial agreements, Tomas Reed owns production follow-up, and Imani Brooks flags access concerns. The focused meeting files will preserve specific notes and decisions; this overview shows which commitments currently govern the 5 November first issue.

Agreed direction

At the 24 September kickoff, the team chose a biweekly Thursday rhythm, one concise email, and a two-page print companion available through the library and community hall if those venues approve. Leila will approve the final issue. Tomas will own the production ledger and send. Imani's access review is a release check, not an optional polish pass. The first issue will prioritize verified service information over a long feature.

At the 28 September planning check-in, the team retained three candidate items: the library repair café, a community-garden update, and revised community-hall hours. Each still needs confirmation from its named source. The group agreed to ask contributors for explicit publication permission and to avoid publishing private phone numbers. These are working decisions, not claims that the items are already verified.

Open decisions with owners

  • Leila, by 8 October: Confirm the three sections and the contribution invitation; identify the fact-check contact for each item.
  • Tomas, by 12 October: Confirm whether the library and hall accept print copies and request a quote within the £120 first-run ceiling.
  • Imani, by 26 October: Report any reading or navigation problems found in the real email and print proofs.
  • Leila and Tomas, by 2 November: Resolve corrections and sign off the exact version to be sent; if a material claim remains unverified, remove it rather than rushing it through.

How decisions change

Every focused meeting note should record the date, attendees, decision, reason, owner, deadline, and unresolved risk. A later change must say what replaced the old choice and who agreed. On 12 November, the team will review delivered copies, helpful replies, corrections, and access feedback before committing to the second issue. The meeting record is a guide to action, not a substitute for the production and editorial briefs.
