Personal Goals

Map

Riley’s goals for 28 September–4 October 2026 are deliberately modest. Library shifts and household needs already occupy much of the week. The aim is to make movement, reading, and friendship possible without converting free time into another full schedule.

Two focused tracks

Movement Habit Checklist turns three short walks into an attainable weekly practice: a Tuesday walk after work, a flexible Thursday or Friday alternative, and Saturday’s longer walk if plans allow. Reading & Connection Checklist covers a 30-minute Saturday reading session, a message to Maya on Thursday, and the Sunday check-in that keeps friendships from becoming an afterthought. Neither track requires a perfect streak.

Commitments worth protecting

  • Put walking shoes by the door on Monday night so Tuesday’s choice is easy.
  • Send Maya a specific, low-pressure invitation by Thursday at 18:00; accept a different day or a decline without turning it into a failed goal.
  • Keep Friday evening unscheduled. Rest is part of the plan, not leftover time.
  • Read one chapter or 30 minutes on Saturday, whichever is shorter; jot down one thought rather than producing a formal review.
  • On Sunday, note what actually helped and choose one small adjustment for next week.

How to judge the week

A successful week might include three walks, a friendly exchange, and a chapter. It can also include a missed walk and a rescheduled coffee if Riley protected sleep and adjusted honestly. The goal checklists track actionable steps; Week Ahead supplies their place in the calendar. Riley will not carry forward an unfinished optional task without deciding whether it still matters.
